Nunes Memo

There’s a lot of talk about the Nunes memo and its political impact, and a lot of the talk is pure speculation and/or hyperbole. The simple fact is that few people have actually read the Nunes memo and are getting their impressions strictly from their favorite talking heads. But that’s the wrong way to do it. To judge for yourself, you need first remove the bullshit from your mind and then read the memo yourself for comprehension. Ask yourself, what information is really in the memo and how does that information substantiate the claims of its author and its supporters? To assist you in doing that, here is a transcription of the memo in its entirety. (It is claimed that the memo is 4 pages long, but that’s on House of Representatives stationery and in their format. Converted to standard letter sized paper with 12 pt. Times New Roman font and 1″ margins, it’s only two and one half pages long. But it is all there.)

Please read it for yourself. On the last page I have written my own assessment of the memo but please make up your own mind before reading my take on it.
